New Carbon Supercomposite “DESNA”

DESNA is an outstanding material with the excellent properties for various applications, such as:

aerospace, military and civil aircraft

racing cars, energy-saving technologies on transport

chemical engineering industry

medicine

Carbon-carbon composite materials DESNA has multi-directional reinforcement. The volume frame of carbon filaments is fixed by a strong carbon matrix. High density and erosion stability are achieved by using the technology based on high pressure and high temperature.

High chemical stability

Excellent friction properties

Good compatibility with biological tissue

The production process ensures ecological purity

The strength of the material at 10000C is much higher than for the steel

 

DESNA properties:

Density 1,9-2,0 G/cm3

Temperature range up to 35000C

Tensile strength 100-150 MPa

Compression strength 140-170 MPa

Thermoconductivity 50-70 W/(mK)

Coefficient of thermal expansion 0.000003 1/K

We can offer DESNA blanks as large as up to 500 mm in diameter and up to 350 mm in height, but even these dimensions are not a limit.
